The Steriliser Dryer only sterilises and dries baby products - it does not wash them.
If you put unwashed bottles and pump parts with milk residue in the steriliser these will not be properly sterilised. Rinsing the bottles of milk is not the same as washing, so these will not sterilise properly either.
Any milk inside the bottles will drip out and onto the heating plate resulting in brown staining that is both difficult to remove and will mean the heating plate does not work correctly.
